Unwritten Laws of Engagement or "Is There Any Truth to the Kigurumi "Code"
The Unwritten Code:
Public Venue;
1. Never ever kig alone.
2. Avoid crowds.
3. Never demask in public.
4. Never speak in public.
4. Never speak.
5. Always be considerate to your Fans.
6. Never do anything in public your mother wouldn't approve of.
7. Always allow Fans to photograph you, just have someone ask for a copy.
8. Never try and out do or get into a Kig-Off with another Kigurumi in public.
9. Always show restraint and consideration with Kigurumi.
10. Be courteous to the Furrys. (They are our Allies)
11. Always show your best for the children, you are magic to them.
12. Show as much respect to others as you would want them to show you.
13. Don't react, if a situation arrases, move on.
14. Always carry a small clutch or cute bag for your introduction cards and camera.
15. Keep it easy, don't stress, rest when you have to, you are the mistress of the show.
16. Hydrate, and use high protein energy bars when resting.
Internet Venue (Live Chat):
1. You are in a public venue, just be aware, you are the performer, don't be surprised
to have rotten vegetables thrown at you.
2. Have a Moderator that knows your limits and have hand signals for them to let them
know you've reached it with any one guest. And for God's sake make sure they stay
awake.
3. Immediately ban and flag anyone who guest cams in the nude, and some will.
4. Kick trolls, not all some can be just mifted because they have never seen Kigurumi
before. All trolls are not alike, I have returns and have gotten a following of
people because of me tolerance levels.
5. Don't be afraid to tease the trolls, it is your performance that will shine if you
can shine them on enough to get them to apologize and ask to be added.
6. As from the first line, don't develop some kind of list of protocol and expect anyone
to follow it.
7. It is a free for all, remember, unless you're hosting a private cam (boring) don't
let your feelings get hurt.
8. Be natural, show your best poses, move slowly and get up from time to time to show
off what you are dressed in.
9. If somethings go wrong, either pause the cam or fix it as if nothing has happened.
10. Never give out your email, sKype, msn or any other way to contact you other than
through the service you are using (unless you want to get hounded, allot)There will
be people who want private cams so they can take private pictures. This one is up to
you, don't be surprised that during a private session they ask to see your "undies"
11. I have made it a rule that private cams of to be with other Kigurumi and not fans
There are allot of pervs out there that want you in there private pose collections.
This is completely up to you.
12. Moderators of chat rooms have to be people you trust, I don't let just anyone
Moderate my rooms... These people have to either by Kigurumi, Furrys or some other
type of costumer... Fans need not apply..
13. Put up schedules for the fans so they know when you will be on line.
14. Make sure to cross post to Facebook, Twitter and you blogs.
15. Record, Record, Record. this is for you to study more than your fans to watch in the
dark. See what is good and what is bad about your performance and practice to good
stuff.
14. Set your performance limit, if it is 2 hours, stick to it, and don't be late if
you've posted.
15. If for some reason you become unable to Cam during the Cam, politely excuse yourself
and shut it down. You are a performer, no one wants to watch a frozen, dark or other
type of screen, they came in to see you.
16. Don't fall asleep during your Cam, rest up or change the time.
17. If you insist on 16 and 17 rename your performance to performance art. Granted no
one watches performance art anymore but you will get your time online without boring
your guests into justifiable homicide.
18. Be active in the chat, greet your guests as they arrive, answer their questions,
(yes we've all heard the same questions over and over) like them think they are
unique.
19 Be the best you can be, why bother if you are not.
The Board Venue:
1. If you are on a Forum or a Board of this community, participate in it, try to use it
as a support group and in information center, There are a number of boards for
Kigurumi, choose the one that is the best fit for you.
2. While creating a new string or adding to one, insure that you are speaking as a
member of the Board, most Boards have Moderators, don't put them in the middle of a
squabble, if you are having one with another member.
3. PM's are a good way to get a message to another member about an idea about the Board
or for asking for help like suggestions and opinions.
4. Don't bring outside issues into the Board, if you have a problem, deal with it or
leave.
5. Don't gossip, it only hurts the way you look to others.
6. And if you really have to gossip, use IM not the Board.
7. Remember we are all visitor on the Board, treat it as a gift, because if you don't it
might not be there for long.
8. If you don't like what's going on with the Board, make your own, than you can be in
the hot seat.
